Young Polk “YP” Kang Jr.
Young Polk “YP” Kang Jr. (R) was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and is the son of Mary Kim (former teacher) and Dr. Young Polk Kang. YP is married to Bernadette (Tolentino) and has two children—Jeffrey and Kathryn. He graduated from Roosevelt High School, Oregon Technical Institute, and received a BBA in Real Estate from the University of Hawaii. He served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged. Licensed in 1975, he joined Locations, Inc. (now Prudential Locations). He got his Brokers license in 1978 and served as a Locations, Inc. Director/Partner from 1979 to 1995. In 1995 he became sole proprietor and started Y P Kang, Realtor, specializing in Sales and Property Management. He is an avid golfer and also enjoys kneeboard surfing at Sandy Beach.
